London: Battersea Park

Battersea Park is an 200 acre (83-hectare) green space at Battersea in the London Borough of Wandsworth in England. It is situated on the south bank of the River Thames opposite Chelsea, and was opened in 1858.

Battersea Park was once a popular spot for duelling and it hosted the first football game played under the rules of the recently formed Football Association on 9 January 1864.

London: Albert Memorial

The Albert Memorial is situated in Kensington Gardens, London, England, directly to the north of the Royal Albert Hall. It was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband, Prince Albert who died of typhoid in 1861. The memorial was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the Gothic Revival style.

At the corners of the central area there are allegorical sculpture representing the continents. The Asia group, including ethnographic figures and a large elephant, was design by John Henry Foley.

São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, the largest city in the southern hemisphere, and the world’s 7th largest metropolitan area. The Tibiriçá Chief and Jesuit missionaries Manuel da Nóbrega and José de Anchieta founded the village of São Paulo dos Campos de Piratininga on January 25, 1554.

According the PricewaterhouseCoopers the Greater São Paulo is the world’s 10th s richest city in 2008 with one GDP PPP of $388 billion.

São Paulo is a major cultural centre. The city has an ethnically diverse metropolitan area, with heavy Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, among other influences. The city is known for its varied and sophisticated cuisine, ranging from Chinese to French, from fast food chains to five star restaurants. There are approximately 62 different types of cuisines in São Paulo, and more than 12,000 restaurants.

The Praça da Sé (Sé Square) is official centre of the city. It was founded on January 25, 1554.
